Memphis Friends Meeting is one of hundreds of local, “monthly” meetings throughout the world.  They’re called monthly meetings because each month their members meet to attend to the business matters of the meeting.  Monthly meetings are affiliated with one or more regional yearly meetings, which likewise meet for business and social activities once a year.  Our meeting is affiliated with the Southern Appalachian Yearly Meeting.
